Until recently, Uzumlu was a traditional farming community tucked away in an almost alpine like valley a mere 20 minute drive from Fethiye town. Its beauty attracted a great deal of interest over recent years, the pretty white-washed houses and little market square and tea house was even a location for a Turkish movie staring Turkish pop-stars!

The views across the valley of Uzumlu are fantastic, you feel like you are stepping back in time as you drive through the narrow streets of the village, past the locals playing back-gammon, drinking tea from small glasses and enjoying the laid back lifestyle. Some could argue that it is a shame that the landscape of Uzumlu is now on the change, the rear wall of the valley has now undergone development, but luckily most new properties are in keeping with the village using natural stone and thoughtful design. A place of peace and tranquillity yet still wishing to be within easy reach of a beach, a town and reality. Land prices are still fair in the region so it’s possible to get a lot for your money.
